Does Specialized have the fastest bike in the world?

They do now thanks to the assistance of McLaren Racing. The 2012 Specialized Venge is the newest edition to the Specialized line of road bikes. With its new airplane wing shaped “X-section” and one piece bottom bracket/seat tube/chainstay module, this bike becomes unstoppable. Just 2 days after this bike was revealed to the public, it was entered into the Milan-San Remo race where Matt Gross took it for the win.

Along with Australian rider Matt Gross, KMC’s X10SL-DLC/ DLC was in it to win it. The new Diamond-like coating (DLC) on the X10SL provides a level of hardness that allows riders to push themselves to the limit with the confidence in knowing their chain will be there for them.

Astana has both the 2011 Tarmac SL3 and the new 2012 Venge. They enjoyed their time on the new Venge and are expected to use them for more wins later in the year.

Although the team replica won’t be sold anytime soon, a lower-priced version will be in stores by the summer. Be sure to look out for KMC’s X10SL DLC chain both in black/black and black/red.
