Vacansoleil-DCM and KMC strengthen their partnership

Bike chain supplier KMC will have their logo on the jerseys of a World Tour team in 2012 and 2013.

Last week during Eurobike Team manager Daan Luijkx and KMC Chain Europe director Christ Bakker signed a two year sponsorship agreement. The Taiwanese company, with the European head office in Friesland, Holland, have sponsored the team since 2011. This year the team won 24 races on the KMC high quality X-SL chain.

Daan Luijkx is looking forward to the extended cooperation: “KMC delivers fantastic products and they are always working on improving their product. An international company with a Benelux base fits our current sponsor Group.”

Christ Bakker, the European director of the KMC chains with the recognizable gold colour, is happy with the new agreement: “The gold chains, and of course the three colours on the chain of Dutch champion Pim Ligthart are well received by the public. However with the new agreement our visibility will grow in 2012 and 2013. This will help us reach a big public audience. Furthermore it is important for us to show that we sponsor a World class cycling team and get continuous feedback from riders and mechanics to improve our product.”
