Environmental protection

KMC continues promoting environmental sustainability. Since 2023, KMC has collaborated with the international organization Justdiggi, supporting a three-year environmental restoration project. Through this new partnership, it is anticipated that in the first year alone, over 30,000 trees will be restored as part of a greening initiative in Sindida, Tanzania. This project not only contributes to environmental restoration and reduces carbon emissions but also ensures the conservation of water sources, promotes local employment, and fosters community development. The outcomes of this initiative align with the eight goals of the United Nations SDGs.

Carbon Reduction

In 2023, the company joined the Bicycle Alliance of Sustainability (BAS), KMC follows BAS's carbon reduction goals: "Reduce 3% by year, and reduce least 25% at 2030.“

Through the formulation of short, medium, and long-term plans, KMC is enhancing its production processes, optimizing energy efficiency, reducing waste, collaborating with specialized partners for waste recycling and recovery, and actively procuring green energy. These measures are gradually realizing the annual 3% carbon reduction target.

Furthermore, KMC starting in 2023, the company introduced sustainable practices into booth design at the Taipei International Cycle Show, utilizing reusable materials. This initiative resulting in a successful 40% reduction in carbon footprint in the first year, showcasing tangible outcomes of the company's environmental commitment.

Go Green with KMC

KMC responds to eco-friendly, select eco-friendly cup made from recycled coffee grounds last year. This year, it continues the concept of green, choosing green materials - bamboo-made tableware for gift, encouraging the reduction of single-use and advocating the habit of reuse. Bamboo, with its short growth cycle, can completely decompose to nature. this initiative effectively reduces the unfriendly waste burden on the Earth. the gift not only holds practical value but also signifies support for sustainability, highlighting the commitment to eco-friendly.。
