[KMC Riders] KMC Rider Defends the UCI MTB World Cup Leader Jersey successfully!
Updated : 2014-04-28

Team BH SR Suntour KMC became the biggest winner in the 2nd round of the UCI MTB World Cup Series where Victor Koretzky claimed his first World Cup victory, Jordan Sarrou defended the U23 leader jersey, and Maxime Marotte jumped to second overall in the elite men’s standing.

Koretzky led the race from start to finish, and took a solo win by 43 seconds. “I had a good feeling today. It was a good start off the line in first position and for the rest of the race and I had thirty seconds on Sarrou. I had no pressure and a good feeling on the downhill and on the rocks because it’s very dangerous for a flat tyre or a crash,” said Koretzky. His teammate, Jordan Sarrou, tightened his grip on second place and retained the U23 category leader jersey.

In the elite men’s race, Maxime Marotte repeated his fantastic third place finish and moved up to second in the overall standing.
