[KMC Riders] Maris Strombergs won his first title of 2014 season in Gator National

KMC-sponsored BMX rider, Maris Strombergs, has won his first title of the 2014 season at the USA Gator Nationals!

Due to the combination of Junior and Elite competitors, there were 69 riders in the Elite Men class – bigger than the largest amateur class - to make the competition more difficult and exciting. Maris Strombergs won 1st on day one and 2nd on day two of the Gator Nationals. “It's a long season but it's always good to start the year off on a good note,” Maris commented after the race.

Maris Strombergs won the Olympic BMX Champion twice in a row (2008 Beijing & 2012 London), and also won the UCI BMX World Championships in 2012 and the European BMX Championships in 2013. We anticipate his future successes, and look forward to our continued support with KMC’s superior chains.
